new stereo hearing engine noice

i put in an alpine head unit in my camaro and now i hear engine noice and static, any suggestion?

there are people far more educated in this department than me but I would first check grounds. Did you post this in the car stereo section?

+1 I would look for a ground problem. I had the same problem with a Z28 I used to have. I could hear and buzzing sound as my rpm's increased.

Recheck power connections, redo if any doubts. Did you use a wiring harness, or splice into the stock one?

you will probably need a noise filter between your head unit and or amp, as you installed straight to battery power without usinng the factory filter, so a cheap easy fix is to install a filter found at most car audio outlets or found at radio shack i dunno if you have those out there or not
