New fbody owner with a few questions

Hey, I'm sure some of you would be glad to hear I recently bought a Trans Am from owning imports up to now. (I've owned a Subaru WRX STI which I miss, 300zx, 3000gt, Turbo Miata, 240sx, Eclipse, Civic and a few others.) I've never been strictly an import guy, to me its all about the car. Anyway, I was just wondering a few things:

1)What parts would need to be replaced to make the standard trans am ls1 equivalent to the power of a WS6 and a Corvette engine respectively?

2)Does anyone have a list of all the paint colors for the 98-02 model years?

3)Has anyone done a weight reduction faq for this beast?

4)Can the suspension components be upgraded well enough to make a trans am perform with the best on a road course or is it best to stick to drag?

An ls-1 is an ls-1 is an ls-1. No significant power differences are had between different models except the corvette has dual exhaust over the f-bods y-pipe. The corvette will dyno lower #'s stock because it has the irs. The cars handle really well with few mods although if you are on a bumpy road the solid axle will always be a week point. only diff thats worth a dam between the reg t/a and a ws6 is the hood and lower air box

and yes the susp can be setup very nicely if you have the money....UMI is your friend....the rearend is the weak point when it comes to racing and will break at some point SO watch what you do
