    in need of info please

i have a 2005 chevy tahoe with a whipple supercharger
it leaned out yesterday and burned a hole in a piston.
would i gain any hp by getting a long block from a vette verses a stock replacement long block? also would all of my factory stuff bolt on?
any help would be greatly appreciated

what came stock on the tahoe ? a 5.7 or a 5.3 or a 6.0 ? you wont gain much if anything for several reasons. you are running boost. vettes are not (besides the zr1) you would be much better building a lq9 40x and getting forged internals personally. besides that gen III engines share parts basically so you wont have any problem moving things from engine to engine

well the 5.3 can make good power boosted. but a 6.0+ will make more i say go big or go home. get a lq9 and put some nice boost friendly heads on it and watch that Whipple scream
