Black- 1998 firebird formula ws6
need help on ses light
My ses light came on, and the scanner said the o2 heater. what this have to do with, or how do i fix it.

O2 heater has to do with the oxygen sensor (bank1 is driver side) (bank2 is passenger side) sensor1 is before the cats) (sensor2 is after the cats) Check to see if any wires are cut, burned or messed up in any way. Other than that you might just need a new o2 sensor.

or you can fix it the way i did, replace your whole exhaust system and get a dyno tune, they will take care of it.

Thats allot of money to spend for a bad o2 heater circut.

do you have headers? Pretty common code to throw with headers.

Lol replace your exhaust, thats priceless, on that note..
Have it scanned again and repost the code they give ya and we can help you further and tell you exactly which 02 to mess with, but like said above take a look at your harness and ensure its not melted or broke.
