need help relocating catalytic converter
I bought some long tube headers with all that egr,air*** and now i need to find a way to put in a catalytic converter i should have thought of this before but is there anyway i can just put put two mini cats on both headers and then run a y pipe to exhuast i live in NOVA and i heard they r strict about relocating the cats any ideas i know as a last resort ill have to do some crazy maze exhuast but thats last i have a lt1 year 94 any help would be great

Looked into that but they r really expensive and at the moment im on a tight budget unless there is one under 300

Does anyone think i i should just put two megaflow cats on each header and the just buy and cut tue y pipe to make it fit?

you could possibly do that, the only problem is clearance, the cats have to go in certain places or else there just literally isn't enough room under the car. our headers are already low enough as it is is, so unless you can find a cat with a diameter less than about 4.5", its gonna be tough

Thanks yeah the car is low enough as it is and found a website that sells the catted y pipe under 400 but thats the least of my worries now the car is over heating ill creat a new thread to troubleshoot that

Make sure the cats are near the engine.
extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings

The cats will be right near the middle of the car where the stock catalytic was for the except for the driver side it wil be a bit lower i would say about a foot think this could throw something off ?

Run two Magna Flow high flow cats right off the Headers to your y pipe, summit has them for around $80 ea. you may need to get the rear o2's tuned out (frost mail order tune)$150 then no SES light, and you should have more than enough ground clearence .
99 Trans Am, SLP Lid, Blackwing filter, smooth bellow, Ported TB, LS6 intake, Ws6 lower ram air box, OBX LT's, Magna Flow cat back, LS7 clutch, Tick MC, Hurst Shifter, Frost Tune, UMI SFC,LAC, STB, PB, Torq Arm, Super Hawk hood, Torq Thrust II, Kee Audio.
Strange S60 4:10's, D&S Rotors, S/S Brake Lines.
