WHITE- 1999 CAMARO Z-28
Need Help With Obd2
Do U Have To Have A Special Scanner To Read Camaros Cause Ive Tried 2 Different Ones And They Keep Saying Must Plug Into Car. It Threw A Check Engine Light. Any Info Would Be Appreciated

What scanner you trying to use? See if the CIG/ACCY fuse is blown, most handhelds w/o battery power won't even power up with it blown because the connector gets power from that circuit. Also make sure the key is in the ON position.

I agree with what he said, and if that doesn't do it, then the connector itself might be damaged, because the regular scanner should work.
