Need help with dead spot

Just bought an 00 ss. 6speed, it has a dead spot and stumbles from 2200 up and doesn't run like it should. The SES light came on and said it was rear oxyen sensors so I jutted them and still no change. Also replaced all 4 oxy sensors and air filter. Im lost as to what makes it stumble and run like crap from 2200 up. Also I replaced fuel filter. Anyone know of common problems?

I take it, it does this in any and all gears. Does it do it while only in gear and under load? Have you tried it taking it up to say 4k in 1st gear and letting it slow itself back down? How does it react?

It does it in any gear, its complety controlled by the rpm. It does it sitting still in neutral. I checked the plugs but all looked good.

Get some MAF cleaner from a parts store and give you a MAF a good cleaning.

I also tried the maf cleaner but I forgot to mention it.

Try cleaning your MAF. People here have done this to fix just what you're describing. Autoparts stores sell specific Mass Air Flow spray, just be careful to not touch the wires, they can break. Could be a fuel pump going bad also.

Also try fuel system cleaner. I have used Seafoam and I am happy.

Possibly 02 sensors(fronts) or you need new plugs/wires, since you say you have already cleaned the MAF, changed fuel filter, and air filter.

When I did 02 sensors I did all four. Thats why this things confusing me, I figure if it were plugs or wires it'd do it off idle also

sounds like you've done all the initial things.....I'd look at plugs/wires and injectors next. know anyone with a scan tool that you could borrow to see what cylinders are missing? That would help you immensely.

Sounds like plugs to me. Change them, NGK TR55's are pretty cheap. While your there, its worth it to replace the wires. I run MSD's and have no complaint. Having a GOOD scanner would help alot, but change those plugs/wires and see where your standing.

Doubt it If he didn't mention having a scanner in the first post, I doubt it.

OP, finding a good scanner (buddies maybe?) will help a ton, if the plugs and wires don't solve it. Whats your fuel PSI? Hook up a mechanical gauge to the test rail (drivers side) and check at idle, off idle, and WOT. It should be 58 PSI at idle, and drop slightly at WOT.

Or you might have a weak coil or two. How many miles are on it?

^^^Could be, but that will usually set a misfire code, and he hasn't reported any of those yet. Need to rule out fuel pressure next....
