My abs module underneath the console went bad on me a year ago. Bought another one and the light went out.

My air bag light stayed on all the time also, so when I installed my inlays and already had the dash apart I used electrical tape to cover the bulb of the air bag light. I dont think the air bag light shows on OBD so problem solved.

For everything that I have read clusters are interchangeable but the cluster is "mated" to the air bag sensor. As long as it is the original cluster and airbag in the car should not get a light unless maybe wire problem. But if cluster is out a different car, you will get the airbag light. atleast a camaro cluster in a TA will give you the light until the system is reset (not PCM reset)

My AB light has been on ever since I swapped to a camaro cluster, thought the camaro one was jacked up so took it out put my old one back ina and bought another camaro cluster only to have it do the same thing. After some research on LS1tech I was informed that this will stay on till :

    A. I put my old cluster back in
    B. Pull the light out or
    C. get the cluster mated to the AB system in the car

A little black tape over the light works just as good
