red ta orange gto- 97 trans am 06 gto
need help
need some help. my trans am will run fine for 10-40 min then just shut off suddenly no studder. it will not start for a few hours then run fine and shut off again. i have replaced the whole ignition system, alternater, and battery. im sooooo stumped. i need help!

Don't know what's going on. Friend of mine with a '95 did something similar and it turned out to be the coil. No codes? Opti?

Look...nobody is going to diagnose this over the Internet...you have tons of new equipment and something shit the bed....get it to the shop that put all that shit on and get it diagnosed.

I would scope(oscilliscope) the crank sensor. What you describe fits the profile of a failing crank sensor but don't hold me to it. Also need to check fuel pressure(if the pump is starting to fail), or spark(if s driver in the PCM is faulty to fire the injectors or coils) when the vehicle shuts off.
