Need advise on oil and tune up

Ok so i got to change the oil of my 94 z28 and it was dark i think it even hade a brand of oil filter no longer made i dont know what person wouldnt change the oil but im sure it effected the car in some way i want to know what i can do to clean all that build up inside the motor need to know what to clean and what to replace thanks

You could try a can of engine flush. Some here use fresh oil and drain it out again after running the engine a few minutes. As for the oil filter, change that after you clean the engine out. I personally use Purolator filters. Do you plan to use regular oil or synthetic after the oil change?

As far as tuning up the car, if it's stock, stick with OEM plugs and wires.

Ok i stuck with regular this time and there are alot of things i still dont know about the car not sure if its cam is stock or gears bec man is that thing fast ill get some new spark plugs and begin from there however there is one major thing i noticed the cars front left exhust makes a hissing noise when it starts could this mean it needs a new gasket

While you are changing the exhaust manifold gaskets it is a good time for headers and plugs. JMHO
