My HP upgrade
Where to start 2000ish mods free mods, ported maf, carbon fiber air box lid(dont remember the brand), slp long tubes, free flowing cats, BB Triflo catback, 3000 stall, 373 gear. I was fine with this hooked decent on the street and ran 12:80 spinning through the 60'. But I was approached buy a guy at work who was selling a 2003 zo6 motor with low milage for a good price and I jumped on it. A friend of mine that used to work at wheel 2 wheel who made some fast ls1's is doing the swap and convinced me to do a custom grind cam from a guy at comp who he has been dealing with for mant yrs. He gave the guy my specs and told him that I was a weekend driver but I wanted it to run and idle with a/c. so it arived today and when I walked in the shop all the guys were like your cam is here and its big. So I glanced at the box and I am pretty sure I saw 627/6 something.
Heres where i want your input I drive on the street and if it sees a track it will be going straight (hopefully lol) He is a BMR dealer so I am thinking of getting sfc's, cross member with t/a relocation. And future purcases would be full length adj ta and 12 bolt moser. Any input is appreciated. thanks

Ask them the duration, lift, lobes and lsa of the cam. Then we can give you an opinion if that cam is right for you. I'd get some drag radials to help with that 60' of your's.

the lift (if that is what it is) 614/621 seems within realm of reality although on the high side. That duration can't be right though even the donkey dick cams ( all out drag cams with 4500rpm stalls and th400's) aren't that big.

Well my friend @ the shop has been dealing with the same guy at Comp for years he called him and gave him all the mods to my car and that I drive it on the street and use the air. So I guess I'm gonna trust the two of them. But what I was looking for opinions on was suspension/hooking up

Yes get sub-frame connectors.
And i highly doubt your gonna like driving a 614/621. Dur 276/284 cam on the street. That's not really street friendly/daily driver.

A body mount t/a certainly is stronger than a trans mounted one, it will be a little rough just so you know. I would go smaller rim for the track with a taller tire, I don't see how dr's and a stall is only getting you 12.8 unless you aren't warming the tires up enough.

I'm running a very similar cam, also with the LSL lobes (227/231 111lsa +2).
BTW, what valve springs did you go with?
