    my engine is being stupid

    so about 2 weeks after my warranty expired my engine started making this awful noise. it has like 51,000 miles. wtf? has anyone ever heard of an ls1 having any valvetrain issues at such low mileage?

    most of them do, most of the time from lack of oil changes or crappy oil. they also have problems with the oil pumps and some have bad cams that wear on certain cyl. check your oil then see what your oil pressure is and if its good i would suspect it to be lifters or cam.

    oil pressure was normal and ive been changing the oil every 3000 miles with full synthetic

    try an oil change with a quart of lucas or something if it doesnt help or gets worse over time better think of a little engine work.

    Take tour valve covers off and check for a bad rocker. The roller bearings came out on one side the rocker and it made an awful noise.
