^^ no link. but if its a rattle that changes with engine RPM its very likely, I had some aftermarket cats that kept shaking pieces loose and they would make some pretty loud rattles

    Thumbs down

I am not an expert by any means on these vehicles, it sounds like a rod knock to me.

I agree....sounds way more serious than a cat. Mic's don't always transfer the sound correctly but that sounds pretty bad IMO.

I can't get the video to work on my mobile, it happens when your car is on in general? How does it sound when you drive?

Sounds to consistent to be a cat. I had a cat blow out on my SS and it was a more inconsistent rattle

The car drives fine. I have an appointment with the dealership on Monday because the Cats in my car are still under warrenty. Also, when I bang on the right cat with a rubber mallet it replicates the noise. The car only had 27k on the clock.

Typically an engine not running correctly is what causes them to fail prematurely.

I would hope that isn't the case with our cars... LS1's are beast and reliable

Yup the sound your car and mine were making can be confusing as it sounded like the engine is/was coming apart on mine aswell.

Cut my old one out and sure enough the grid/mesh inside was broken in two.

Too bad I had to cut up a perfectly good exhaust to find out.

Just was a general statement. There is/was a warranty claim issued for our cars about premature failure for the catalytic converters.
