    Msd coil pack?

    My car currently has MSD ignition system. It was installed by the previous owner. I have been having a misfire issue that occurs randomly. after changing the plugs and wires it got alot better but still occurs intermittently. I am pretty sure it is a coil pack because one of them is split open, exposing the electronics to the air. I want to know if I should bother replacing all the packs with msd ignition coils (they are $100 apiece) or the oem coils which are $40 apiece. If it is just a small difference I would rather go with the oem as $800 is alot to spend on coils. Does MSD coils make a big difference in power?

    Unless your engine is fully built(Heads/cam/intake/forced induction), then just go with the OEM coils.

    oem coild are good hard to beat. call your junkyards for wrecked 5.3 trucks those coils will work as well and you can save some money to.
