    motor sucking dust

Ok guys i was just wondering how much trouble i may be in for. I have owned my car for almost a year and was playing around with it the other day. I noticed that clamp on my intake going to the throtle body was like way loose and its been sucking air through there. So how much trouble am i in for?

I was just kidding. Hopefully you didn't to much damage, but you'll find out if something breaks. If you fixed the leak just hope nothing was damaged and don't try to worry about it. If there was any major issue you should know about by now anyway.

it must not have been sucking much air. your car would have been acting up if it were getting lots of air throught there becasue you MAF wasnt reading it.

ya suppose you are right but i did clean some dust from the throtle body and stuff in there so i know it has at least gotten some dirt in there.

I would recommend an oil change in addition to cleaning the TB (sounds like you've already done that) if you haven't. Other than that, nothing else to do... Any dust you've sucked is in your oil, so don't expect the 'normal' interval. Change it.
