Question More power. Or too late?

Welp my TA has 134k on it and I haven't really done anything to it.
Is it too late to start doing mods? I just want around 450hp so I have a nice lil beast on my hands.

A friend of mine is selling his STS kit but after reading what people have to say about it I don't think I wanna go with that. Plus I got too many miles for a power adder. It did give his camaro a nice boost though, I forget the actual numbers but that thing was a monster. He got it stroked out to a 383 now and did some other stuff so he took the turbo off. Dunno the reason for removing it but w/e...

    So ?

sorry to jack thread. what about 165xxx miles? car still runs and drives great. pulls hard still also. know anyone that waited that long to start sinking money into their ls1? im thinkin about headers and true duals, but the only reason i havent done it yet is cuz of all the fucking miles ive racked up on it(75% are hwy miles).

    It depends.

Mods can always be put onto a new motor.
IF something were to happen to the stock LS1 and you decided to hang onto the car.

From what people are saying 130k-156k isn't alot to start modding. However only you can answer that question about your car. I have 80k and my car runs great so yeah I'd mod the shit out of it. Having said that there are some cars with 40k that were beat to shit and i wouldn't waste my money. I dunno just my 2cents, get a feel for your car.

I beleive that its not so much the mileage that counts but the overall condtion of wear and tear on the engine. remember that the more hp you put on the engine the more wear and tear your doing, and like they said above regular matience gos up and if you add a turbo matience gos up even more. Mine has 143k miles on it and has almost no wear and tear on it because the prevouis guy was a older gentleman so he didnt run it hard but if you lets say buy the car from a 18-19 year old there going to more wear from more abuse like lead foot lol

i dont know much about the previous owners. i bought mine 2 1/2 years ago from a local car dealer, after i had my mechanic look it over and approve. it was completely stock. might as well be right now too. only thing ive had to replace is the BCM because when i had bought it the stock one was crapping out. so i bought one. havent had any other problems w/it since then. *knocks on wood*.
