how long is the harness on that? Going by memory but the stock harness itself is only about 6-8" long.....been a while since I've messed with stock sensors but that's going by memory. When you compare it to the front sensor harness it comes up that much short? Like I say, been a while since I've seen stock sensors.

im gonna say the stock sensor is about a foot long ( the wire part) and the new sensor is approx. 4 inches too short.......could i have gotten the wrong sensor I.E. the passenger side instead of the drivers side?

denso lists that as the pre-cat right which would be the passenger side. Whatever you do try not to splice wires.....people have created some real headaches for themselves doing that. You can either send it back for the correct sensor or buy a premade extension.

    00 formula ws6

old thread, but may be useful

2000 ws6 formula failed smog, codes indicated that the 02 sensors were bad. I went with denso

part # 234-4025 there are 3 of these
    " 234-4087 " " 1

    4087......12.2" wires
    4025......16.54" "

went all thru the internet, conflicting info on whether upstream, downstream, right, left, etc.

common sense says that if they are the same part numbers, what difference does it make

    4025... location exhaust pipes
    4087... after catalytic converter

conflicting info... 4025 says upstream pre-cat left on some sites, downstream on others
" " 4087 says upstream, pre-cat right on some sites, upstream on others

my point is what difference does it make if 3 of them have the same part number and same length, while the other one has a longer length. just take them out and compare them, put the longer one where the longer one is on the car, put the other three where they are on the car.
