    Max power on N/A LS1 ?

    Hi,
I want to know how much power is realistic to get out of a N/A LS1 without NOS.
What do i need for 380-400 hp (or more if its possible)?

    My mods are:
    3" Magnaflow catback,SLP CAI+smooth bellows.

    Intended:
Granatelli MAF,90/90 Fast Intake Manifold,SLP Long tube headers, sport catalic converters and the rest exhaust to my catback in 3".

i have seen a guy with full botlons, heads, and cam with a bone stock bottom end pushing 485 whp with a street cam. very very streetable, and it gets much better gas milage than stock (if you can keep your foot out of it)

it was a silver c5 corvette built by tony mamo. it think he works for AFR, so he probably got a wicked set of heads on it. i'll see if i can find the video of it. it think he has built the bottom end by now though.

Don't waste your money on the MAF, If you get a TR 228R Cam with matching valve springs with your intended mods, You will be right where you want to be.

You can stroke a LS1 to 383 and get well over 500rwhp N/A.
What do i need for 380-400 hp (or more if its possible)?

You can get 400HP (not rwhp) with simple bolt-ons like headers, LS6 intake, ASP pulley, etc...

Don't waste the $$ on the MAF, FAST 90/90 is overkill at this point and you could do much better headers for less money...
Take your time and read the posts on this forum...there is a ton of good info to help you achieve your goals.

I think i found the 400 Hp answer:

    http://www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic10974.php

    ---------------
GM Performance 5.7L LS1 crate engine tested with Kooks F-body 1-3/4” long tube headers with 2-1/2” lead pipes into Flowmaster mufflers. Factory front drive accessory was used with the water pump, power steering, and alternator. Stock LS1 heads and short block, GM Performance “Hot Cam” with LS6 valve springs are the only engine upgrades.
    ---------------
I cant believe the result! This is sick!!
1 3/4" Long tube Headers with 2-1/2” lead pipes into Flowmaster mufflers
GM Performance “Hot Cam” with LS6 valve springs
LS6 Intake with Stock 78mm Throttlebody
3 little things and you have 423hp and 405 torq!
But works this all without a chiptuning?Whats with the fuelpump or ignition?

toyota now makes an engine with 575 horsepower. considering its a 3.5l, im sure 600+ horsepower is possible. just be prepared to empty your wallet...

    and bank account.

for 350-400, thats common. cam and bolt-ons with good tuning can yield this much, from what i've heard
