    Mass air

Ok guys. I see people talkin bout ported mass air sensor
and people removing the screen for extra horses. Is that true?
Is it worth it? Is it's removed will that damage the motor?
What's a ported mass air sensor.
    Thanks

no its not worth it, the stock MAF is fine the way it is, taking the screen off will not net you and noticable gain. porting it just makes the size of it bigger

Screw the K&N, lets alot of dirty through and gets expensive to clean and oil plus can over oil and throw the MAF off. Go with Amsoil for the air filter. Changing MAF's can help but you need to get them tuned to run properly. If your not looking to tune, just keep stock MAF. It can handle lots of power.

Just keep your MAF stock. As far as the K&N, my experience at the track was this. I ran my car 6 times, 2 with no filter, 2 with clean stock Delco, and 2 with a K&N someone gave me with the lid I bought. There were no differences in my ET or trap MPH. I say go with a quality stock type air filter.
