    Map Lights

Ok, I did pick up the owner's manuel and skimmed over the part about utilizing the remote control to make the map lights go one and off when the doors are opened. I am having a little different issue.

My map light go on when I open the doors and off with the timer or when I shut off the engine. Yeah! They also come on when I turn up the dial on near the fog lamps. Yeah! BUT, when I am driving down the road and someone wants to use them or I want to look for a CD and push the little buttons on the rear view mirror itself....NOTHING!!!! BOO!!!

    Anyone ever experience this?

    Same issue as mine.

Brother...I'm having the exact same issue.
See my post "Goofy Map Lights".

No one has given me a good answer yet. Ther must be a reason and fix for this you'd think. Post if you find a solution and I will do the same.

first step, make sure the switch works, take it out and check the switch for continuity
