    Lug Nut Question....

So I just bought some new ws6 rims and I would like to use a locking lug nut on each rim. Only problem is that the black cap wont fit on my locking lugs. Is there any locking lugs or tricks a can use to install my locking lug nuts with the black caps? thanks

I have a set of GM part number 12497477 wheel locks on my 2002 WS6 TA that fit perfectly and you can install the plastic caps over them just like all of your other original lug nuts.

Same here as sjgreen6 said. I used the factory locking caps that I purchased from the dealer. It's been 15+ years, so I don't remember the cost from the dealer, but I think it was $30. Also if you buy them from the dealer, if you ever happen to lose the wheel lock key, you can go back to any Chevy dealership and buy a new key. They also sell the little black plastic caps individually if you ever lose one.

Use the part number I provided (12497477) and do a search on eBay. It came up with a bunch of hits ranging from $9.99 to around $40.00 for brand new sets.

You can also buy Dorman replacement caps at most parts stores. Be careful as they have both tall and short style caps.
