LT1 wont start
I just pulled the intake saturday to replace the gasket. I just got everything back together today. The motor turns over but wont fire off. When you turn the key you can hear the pump kick in. I went as far as changing the coil out. Still the same thing. Any ideas?

everything is plugged back in. injectors, etc. i checked and rechecked. I hope its not the opti. i replaced it 2 months ago with the gmpp opti. My mechanic done that. I know it getting spark but i cant tell if its getting fuel. i pulled a spark plug on the head and put a screwdriver to and had a decent lil spark. Im thinking it a fuel issue.

did you prime the fuel lines before trying to start it? and bleed the air out?

I was told you didnt have to prime the fuel system. I changed out the fuel filter today and still nothing. It looks like im headed to the shop tomorrow.

hmmmmm. get a spark tester to be sure you have a good strong spark. old school ways using a screwdriver can give eh results. get a fuel pressure gauge. remember you need pressure and volume

when i pulled the filter i turned the key to make sure there was fuel coming from the pump. It shot out significantly. To see if i was getting spark, while my wife was cranking the car i shot a lil wd40 through the throttle body to see if it would try to turn over and i got nothing. So now i think i got a spark issue. im still going to get a fuel pressure gauge just to see where im at. But for what its worth, when i pulled the fuel rail i was kinda careless with the fuel rail and layed it upside down on the side of the car while i made the repair. i wonder if i ruined the pressure regulator diaphram by doing that?
