LT1 water pump seal
Hi guys my computer illiterate buddy want to know what it takes to fix a leaky water pump on his 97 z28 LT1........is it somthing he can do himself? does the pump have to be removed?

it is probably leaking from the weep hole. i would replace the whole pump. dont wait too long though, if anything gets into the optispark that will need to be changed too. if it has high miles i would change that anyway.

it has almost 70k miles......how much is a pump?

should be around $160, get a GM one tho, believe me lol as long as its off consider an electric pump if you do mostly in town driving

they got a water pump last night installed, either a rebuilt gm one ($75) or a aftermarket one ($125) from advance auto parts.........not sure what but him and another guy got it on and running at 11 last night
