LS6 block in a Trans Am ??
How can I tell if my car has one of the LS6 blocks?
I'm also very curious how many cars ended up with one of those blocks instead of the usual LS1 block.

The only way you can tell is by finding the part number on the back of the block. If I remember right there are no visuals to tell by. I thought that only late 02's got them but there were some 01's that got them too. Thing is there is no performance gains by having it.

Correct, on all the above, the block does give you gains though the extream upper RPM range though.
