Red- 1998 trans am
ls1 motor
I was curious to know if the ls1 motors are known to have oil leaks because in the morning i continue to see oil leaks and i cant find from where.Thank you.

What type of oil? Its not "known" to have leaks but they do develop leaks. Might want to get the car in the air and take a look around for the mess and see if you can identify where its coming from.

All engines will leak over time. But what doesn't wear out. How many miles you got now.
These aren't known for leaking though.
If you want an engine that is known to leak, it's in every 5.0 Mustang. And just about every other Ford.

I just repaired the rear main seal in my LS1. i still have a leak from the camshaft position sensor. like Kup98ss said all engines will leak at some point from somewhere. check and see what kind of fluid it is and that will determine a good place to start
