    LS1 Hop-Up??

Just got a 99-Vette, LS-1 eng with Corsa exhaust and K+N free air intake. Cant afford a Maggie.......need info about getting some more HP and 'Rumpity" sound at idle. Thinking cam/heads(maybe,if price is not too high). Heard cam swap calls for 20 hours labor alone???? Anyone done work along these lines??????????

15-20 hours sounds about right for a first time you swap a cam.
before doing heads and cam, get headers.
a top of the line heads cam combo like afr 205 heads and their 224/228 cam could be had for about 2600 on sale.
you could get other heads/cam combos for less than 2k but afr heads are the best out there.
also if youre car is an automatic, get a stall converter.

if you rebuild the engine, then forged pistons would be a good idea.

if you have an automatic transmission, you can upgrade the stock torque converter for a higher stall converter.
