LS1 in a G-Body
Does the oil pan clear the frame? And has anyone on here ever mounted a Corvette rear end in one? Thanks!

I think the oil pan clears, but the AC compressor doesn't. You have to notch the frame to keep the AC in the same spot as a F-body or Truck LS engine.

There was a write up in, I think, GMHTP involving the installation of a C4 rear in it. It was a real intricate article. I am sure a C4 rear would fit in a Monte.

The torque tube is C5 corvette. That might be tricky, since the transmission is in the rear on those. C4 rear suspension is better idea if you really wanna go for it.

Yeah I know I'll have to notch the rear crossmember on the frame and maybe even the floor pan, I was just curious about the overall length.
