LS1 Alternator Wiring
I just got my '01 Z28 back from the shop after they fixed the screw up they made while changing the pinion seal. I was looking under the hood and noticed that the alternator wiring has only one wire connected (a red one, I believe). There are three gray ones twisted together and taped off. I don't know if they should be wired to something (ground wires?). Please help if you can. Also, I am missing the front driver's side header bolt. I can't find one and need to know the size and length 'cause I may have to use a generic until I figure it out.

There is only supposed to be one red wire plugged in so you are ok.
header bolt is 8mm x 1.25 pitch x ?? length. You might have to pull another bolt out to get the length.

yes only the red wire goes into the top side plug in. sounds like the connector got replaced. when you buy an aftermarket connector, it has all four wires leading out of it for multiple applications.
