Low oil light
I have a 98' T/A.
My Low Oil Light has came on 3 times in the last 4 weeks. I check the dip stick and it is good, Oil Pressure Gage reads ok. I have no puddles in the driveway and nothing is dripping from under neath.
Any ideas?
Oil pump going bad? God I hope not...

Now I'll have to check that out. Thx.
Leads me to another question. Are there any warning signs when your oil pump goes bad? I would think if you Oil Pressure gauge just drops off I would think this would be one. I just don't want to be driving and have what happen to and have it go boomLast edited by SMWS6TA; 06-17-2010 at 09:39 AM.

The pressure may start to bounce around and get real low at idle. Of course, that can always be a bad sender too.
