Its one of the sensors ( not sure which one). It seems to be a common issue with camaros and firebirds. The low coolant light comes on and goes off by itself randomly in my car. Sometimes it will go away after turning the car off and staring it again, other times it will be on for a week. Some times it will be months in between it coming back on. The some thing happened to my uncles camaro and he had the sensor replaced twice, only to have it come back on a few months later. I just decided to deal with the light being on. It is up to you to decide to replace it or not, just know that the light may come back after a while.

At least its not leaking.

Check the coolant while it's warming up and see if the level goes down when the thermostat opens. Your rad cap may not be funtioning as it should and not pulling coolant from the rez when the cooling system needs it. Just a thought..

Mine is constantly on yet I know the coolant is at the right level. Sometimes you need to clean the sensor or replace it. The sensor is on the passenger side part way down the radiator from the top right next to the battery.

I replaced the coolant sensor on the readiator for my grand prix. I originally cleaned it as dex cool tends to gunk up the sensor contacts. After I cleaned it the light went off but in the end I replaced the sensor. Try cleaning it first and see if it goes away.

VERY common issue. I just had to deal with the same problem on our 96. I replaced the sensor. Light still came on so I just un-plugged it. I will plug it back in next week and see if it works after tapping on it.
I replaced the one in our 98 when it went out and never looked back. Lots of people have had issues. I think we can look at the fact that GM removed them in later years as a clear sign that unplugging it is an upgrade.

Mine is unplugged. I check my coolant weekly anyways and if I was low on coolant when the car overheats, that is another sign.

I had this problem on my WS6 when i bought it, I unplugged the sensor from the wire and pulled it out of the radiator and sprayed cleaner on the wire plugs and in the hole that goes in the radiator, it was a little gummy, plugged it back in and the light hasnt come on since.
