Do you still have the air pump or have you deleted it? If not it is probably that. Mine made a similar noise and I got rid of it and now no noise but maybe I can't hear it over my exhaust.

You can also just remove the fuse as well as a test prior to removing the air pump since you will have to have block off plates on your exhaust manifolds to delete the air pump without exhaust leaks.

Here's a write up on the secondary air system: http://www.ls1.com/forums/f6/seconda...emoval-130641/ The system only runs for a short time on cold start up, so very possible that this is the cause of your noise.

Glad to assist. Let us know what you find once you tear into it. Easiest check would be to pull the fuse for the secondary air and see if the noise goes away. You'll probably trip the SES in the process. The system only activates on cold startup -- once the engine is warm, I can't say for certain if it runs the pump or not.

Pump only runs on initial start up I'm fairly certain.

That's what I thought, but it has been awhile since I read all that stuff.

Be aware that if your state requires a "smog certificate" to register the vehicle, removing or disconnecting the air pump (where it can not be reconnected), can cause more problems than what it is worth.
