    2001 TA

    light problem

    my wife has a o1 ws6 & is having problems with the lights. they are flickering pretty bad all the time. tried to find a ground problem & no luck. alternator checked & was said to be fine. any help? voltage regulator?

    Welcome to the site, do they flicker just when driving or every other time as well?

    its still the alternator chances are..also have you made sure that the battery terminals are clean and on tight ? also is it only the head lights or is it interior etc ?

    think its just the headlights but not sure. my wife always has the car. i have cleaned all the ground wires i can find and replaced the battery. i did have some kind short in the air pump under passenger seat and just unplugged it.

    they used to flicker occasionally but now its all the time

    They only check the alternator for constant power under a certain load. The regulators/etc is most likely bad. Its spiking the voltages at random, mine does it occassionaly

    Do the lights change when you rev? If so it probably is the alternator.

    also try taping them to see if there is a short somewhere up front, but I agree on the alt.
