Lambo Doors
I just bought a 2000 silver Z28. Car is beautiful. The guy who had it before me had put lambo doors on the car. They look great but i'm afraid he didn't do a great job. I only started to realize this as i use them. They don't seem to have much support and when they close they sem to hit. I guess not aligned properly. Well anyways anyone have any suggestions on how tho fix them?/ Or is it possible to put lighter doors on the camaro?

i'm not too familiar with lambo doors, but does the system you have work with shocks? maybe they're losing pressure and need replacing. just an idea.

I believe most of the weight is in the side impact beam -you would be crazy to remove it for a street car. See if you can figure out where it's hitting-I don't know if there's an adjustment on lambo doors or not-but there would have to be some way of adjusting them.

The hinges on the inverted doors are adjustable. I have on idea if you can adjust out the hitting problem that you are having. However, adjustment would be the right way to start.

Its Not Tha Doors That R Heavy, Its The Shocks! You Might Want To Replace Them With Sum Shocks That Hold More Weight Load.
It Will Be A Lot Lighter!
That Will Solve The Weight Problem

Ya the fender was adjusted. The brackets were welded to the car instead of bolted. One of the doors is not aligned properly.

ok about the allignment issue... how do the doors no where to stop? is there not a bumpstop or something? might even have to spend some time adding material to the bumpstop and then grinding it back down till it fits right...

Yup ... I wanted Lambo Doors on my SS too. I dont trust this local "Verticle Doors" shop they got in my city. I've seen there work, its crapy! & this is on rice rockets & f-150's. Never seen them do it to an f-body and I sure as hell was'nt going to be their first victim. Anyway good luck on fixin yours and YES lets see som PIX's

sorry guys, I havn't had a chance to download the pics. I will do it this weekend to show you how the lambo doors look. the drivers door doesn't give me problems. Its the passenger door. When i close it, it doesn't line up the it should. I guess that is because they bounce a bit when the doors come down. Does anyone know of somone i can trust to do some body work in toronto?? As well, I'm thinking of replacing some parts inside the door with lighter parts so the doors are not so heavy. Any ideas of where I can start.
I love this car though. The car just rumbles.
