Knocking after Knock Sensor Install
Greetings All.
Car is a 2001 WS6.
I recently installed 2 new knock sensors and new wiring harness.
Put the intake manifold back together, hooked everything up (injectors, harnesses, vacuum lines, throttle cables, etc.). Triple checked all connections and parts and everything looks good.
Car starts up fine, but now has a very loud knock in the engine bay.
No codes present. Started a few times, but only for a few seconds at a time.
Did not rev up or let it run for long, fearing something worse could happen.
Still no error codes.
I did not have any codes before the install. The job was to trace an oil leak possibly coming from the valley cover. Realized the knock sensors were in bad shape and replaced them. Nothing else was touched.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
