    Which knock sensor do I need?

    Which knock sensor do I need, with or without the locating tab?



    What brand would you recommend for a Knock Sensors?

    Advance Auto has
    ACDelco - 58
    Delphi - $60

    O'Reillys has

    BWD - $50
    Master Pro - $60

    Autozone has
    Duralast - $47

    I take it its for the 98 T/A. Go with Delco/Delphi. I had some issues with BWD parts, its a no wonder that the cheaper the part or lack of quality has the longest warranty. Just my .02 cents. I would replace both knocks and the harness. The wires are usally hard and brittle at the base (black round circle top).

    We just.got a set of delco 's for the 02 LS1 doing into.my friends 240sx. Got the on eBay brand new $50 for the set. When it comes to replacing factory parts like that I use delco on my TA and trailblazer and motorcraft on my 93 5.0. Always fit and works the way it should.

    Cutlass, I'm having problems finding the harness do you have the part number?

    GMPartsDirect told me its not in service anymore.

    No I don't but apparently there are 2 different style knock sensors on Gen III LS engines. If you swap in the 99 to 2002 knock sensors, then you can use the 99 to 2002 harness which I found with a quick google search
