Just saying hi and I have a few questions, I currently own a 2001 ws6 and was looking for some tips on how to improve the cars performance.
Not looking to spend a ton of money ( around $1000) and would love to get some good ideas if there are any out there thanks a lot for replying.

Welcome to the site! Two easy upgrades are subframe connectors and a lid for your air box. The SFC's tighten up your car considerably and the lid is good for an 8-10 hp boost by most accounts.

SLP lid, Long tubes and off road y pipe, replace the muffler, and get a tune form frost!!! Long tubes and y pipe will be the biggest cost but the most benifit with the frost tune.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Welcome to the site. Some things that need to be known prior to suggestions:
Tranny type? Any current modifications to car? What type of smog inspection do you need to pass and whether you are looking for handling or acceleration mods or both...67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.
Carbon footprint? CLOWN SHOE!

If M6 or A4, first mods are usually sub-frame connectors, lid, long-tube headers (LT's) and exhaust. If on a budget, Pacesetter makes decent LT's at a good price. Magnaflow is an affordable nice sounding exhaust that many on here prefer. The lid is a lid and can be of any type, they all net the same performance gain. Most people like the SLP lid. Lastly, a mail order tune to liven the car up a bit once said mods are installed.
