just installed
ok i just got my pacesetter headers, off-road y and magnaflow exhaust put on today, when i was there i also had them put on a k&n air intake
i was wondering if anyone has this setup and if when your in 3rd or 4th gear and go WOT does it kinda hesitate like there is to much air and not enough gas.
should i get a tune? and what will it do with just those mods
thanks for the help everyone

I have a very similar set up, I've got the pace lts and ory and a 335 cme catback. Mine doesn't hesitate. It's also an m6. A dyno tuner guy who dynoed my car told me to disconnect the battery atleast once a month so the computer can go back to stock. Basically it will put it back on the factory tune. Unplug battery for at least 5min. Make sure if you've got the code to your monsoon before you do if you enabled the safety loc.
Basically your car will get hooked on what he called a map and when you disconnect power it will have to refresh its self.
Just thought that might help you.

do you think maybe i should get a tune? would it be worth the money with the mods i have and would i get any gains

actually I'd say get a lid and then get a tune to get the most out of it. lid and kn filter.

Sounds like you got a bunch of mods done in a short period of time. Its probably overwhelming the ECU, considering there is now a ton more air flowing in and out of the motor.
First thing I would do is disconnect the battery for about 15 mins to let it reset the ECU. Then reconnect the battery, and drive the car for a couple days. It needs to go through a certain amount of drive cycles to determine the new parameters for your mods. Once the ECU adjusts, the hesitation should be gone, and it should run smoothly again.
A tune would be beneficial as well, but the tuning is not likely the cause of the hesitation you describe.

With the mods that you have, namely the long tubes, a tune should give you a nice gain. It will make the car more driveable, as well as improve fuel economy in most cases. You'll probably gain anywhere from 15-20WHP from a good tune with the mods that you currently have

So how many more mods should we do before we go get tuned? I've got a lid, kn, lts/ory, 335hp catback stock, and msd wires. What else should we do?

How many miles before you noticed the problem? Do you have any codes and if so what are they?

I'm not doing sims because you'll be paying twice if you're going to end up getting it tuned since they can do it all in the tune.
