    can you jack the car up from the flat peice under the rack and pin? or would it damage it?

    You mean the K-member? NO. Jack it up at the pinch welds behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. I can't remember if the F-Bodies have arrows stamped in the pinch welds tho.

    DO NOT JACK UNDER THE FRONT FENDERS!!! THAT IS A BIG NO-NO!!!

    yes you can lift by the K-member, just use a 2x4 block of wood between the jack and k-member. I've done it.
