I've got a squeak problem
After I drive the car for about 30 minutes it starts to squeak kinda loud. It wont squeak when the car is sitting idling. When you roll down the street without accelerating it squeaks and when you do accelerate it squeaks. But when you put the brake on it stops, until you let off the brakes. I had both belts and 2 pullies replaced about 2,500 miles ago. Anyone know whats going on. Thanks

Seriously though, it sounds to me like a squeak caused by your brakes. Probably hardware hanging up keeping the pads real close to the rotor. Just a guess though. I didn't get a clear idea on what sort of sound or where it may be coming from by your description.

That's pretty funny.
It sounds like it's coming from the brakes, but I'm not sure. All I can say is that when when the car is moving it squeaks. If it's in park or the brake is on it don't squeak.

the brake squeeler is rubbing the rotor. this means that the pads are wore out.

Are you sure because it stops very good, with only minimul brake pressure. It only squeaks when my foot is OFF the brake.

I forgot to mention that the faster I accelerate the faster the sound of the squeak is. When I slow down the sound of the squeak slows down.

if you'll look, the squeeler (small "L" shaped thing on one end of a brake pad) will be touching the rotor. and yes, it squeels when OFF the brake pedal.

just replace the break pads with good one like bendix. you get what you pay for these days. if it still sqeaks then you ruled out the brake option and you have a new set of pads. so no real losses.

they dont have to be worn out to squeak, cheap brakes will squeak with a minimum pressure and stop with a lot such as braking

They are the stock brakes. I'll just change the pads.

For sure is probably the brakes. Going to make that noise before they stop working so you know to change them. If it didn't make the noise until they were gone whats the point of a squeak. But if for some reason its not the breaks the next best guess from me would be a wheel bearing.

I know that when the brakes are getting low you get that load high pitched sound. I have a squeak problem that is coming from the rear, like in the hatch. Is it the shocks?
