    issues upcoming

Got on the car a little today....didn't even run it all the way up to the shift point. Just tagged it a little leaving the driveway. Get up the road a mile or so and I'm doing 55mph and the car starts bucking a little bit. Look over at the afr gauge and it's showing 18:1 -20:1. I'm guessing I'm about to have some sort of fuel issue. My bet is going to be injectors.....everything else is newer. I'm hoping I just got a little piece of trash in an injector and that's what caused it but I'm betting that's a sign of things to come. I drove it several more times after that happened and it ran perfect. I even ran it through a few gears WOT and it was sticking right at 13:1 WOT. Any bets as to what's about to take a shit if anything? I want to pull a couple plugs first and look at those to see what they look like. Seems like it had a little miss when I first started it this year but haven't noticed it since.

Do you run a fuel pressure gauge in your car?

worked on the truck this morning.....had to replace a hub. I'll pull plugs on the car tomorrow and look at them. I'm forgetting if miss fires show rich or lean. Seems like I've always thought they should show rich due to the unburned fuel but for some reason I'm thinking I was wrong thinking that way.

Good question -- not sure if the unburned fuel would wash the plugs down or if it would carbon them up when the plug does fire due to the added fuel. Does your scanner show pending codes?

wouldn't help......misfire's are disabled on the car. I really don't think it's a misfire issue. If I hadn't noticed that miss when I first started it this spring it would've never entered into my mind. This was definitely fuel related bucking. I'm probably just going to have to wait until it does it again and try to catch it with the scanner. I may just black box log it for the next week or two and try to catch it doing it.
