Installing Proform short throw shifter

Like the title says I bought a Proform Short Throw Shifter I hear it is an fairly easy install. Anybody have pics or tips before in get started? thanx for the help. I have an 99 SS M6.

You'll have to remove the center console to start. Then remove the rubber boot - should have some screws holding it down to the floor. This will give you access to the top plate of the shifter. Then just remove the four bolts from the top plate. Then remove the shifter - you may need to use a bit of leverage to get it out. I did on mine. Then just reverse the steps to install. Some use rtv sealant between the top plate and the tranny as well. Good luck.
