Idle Problem!!!
So when I start my car the RPM's go up to around 1000 then drop straight down to 400 and from there it fluctuates from 400-600. Once I get to a stop light it goes to about 800 then slowly goes down towards 400 RPM again. Also, I noticed a few times while driving that the car jerks or bucks a little, almost like its about to run out of gas. Things under the hood visually look fine. Any ideas????

Ok, I had something like this about 2 weeks ago but not on the scale you are talking about. Here are the things I did and I havent had an issue since.
1. Clean air filter. It its a K&N you may have oil on the MAF.
2. Clean the MAF and be sure NOT to touch the filaments.
3. Clean your TB.
Put everything back together.

I was in a hurry so I didnt get to type everything.
How many miles are on your car? Have you changed the plugs? Have you changed the plug wires? Have you changed your fuel filter?
Throw in some fuel system cleaner as well. Depending on miles and what not it may be a combination of things.

The car has 77k on it. Plugs and wires were changed at around 50k. Haven't changed the fuel filter. Will try fuel cleaner additive.

Also, check where the intake bellows mates with the throttlebody. If there is a gap in that region, idle will be affected.
