    Ideas on place to work on car? Don't have access to garage.

    I'm going to college currently and living in an apartment. I have a project I want to do on a car, but it will involve a nearly complete teardown.. something that I can't do in the parking lot. Was thinking of a storage unit, but don't have access to electricity that way. I know I can get an outdoor storage spot like they use for RV's and trailers that may have access to electric, but then I have the problem with people stealing tools and parts.

    Any ideas? Can't do anything to expensive.. I am on the ole' college budget.

    I have a friend that is essentially building an entire car in a storage unit. Just need a small generator for power and a little ingenuity.

    Maybe you can find a garage to rent, put out an add in local paper or buyers guide, craigs list, post on a board at the collage.
