I think I need bigger rubbers

Measured my original 2002 ws6 front sway bar, its exactly 35mm. Not 32, 33 or 36 like all of the manufacturers on rockauto (moog) are selling. Whats the deal Whats the deal?

Some aftermarket manufacturers go by specs of the original, but vary with their own designs. Like body panels. Aftermarket panels might be slightly different. Gaps could be tighter or looser than the original panel.

extreme dimensions, driveshaft shop, harrop, hid(35watt/6k) lows, hurst, k&n, led fogs, maverick man, mishimoto, nitto, revshift, slp, stern st-1, smoked sidemarkers, whiteline poly radius rod bushings

Front sway bar on our cars is hollow, not solid. It is also fairly light weight. I removed mine a few years back just to take another few pounds off the front end. Even street driving it I have never really noticed a difference in the handling or feel.

What condition were the bushings in? If the bushings weren’t working to create tension, the bar isn’t doing most, if any, of what it is supposed to do.

OP, how did you measure the bar? It wouldn’t take much to miss a millimeter.

I have replaced my front center link bushings with OEM, and it was a proper fit; and I don’t remember mention of a 35mm front offered, of course I think the parts guides were in standard, not metric.

It’s been more than 15 years sinc I worked at a GM dealer too.
