I need a confidence boost!

Okay, got my 02 SS & it had a busted front door speaker. I bought a direct OEM speaker off a guy on tech (I should have it real soon) & now I am freaking out that I am going to break something when taking the door panel off. Anybody have any words of advice to help me out. I found a good write-up, but I have visions of showing this car in the near future & obviously cannot do that with a hacked up door panel....plus it is my baby & I might cry if I break something. Any words of advice from someone who has experience with the process would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

It's actually fairly straight forward. The only advice I can give is get a door panel tool, and pull the panel out enough to see the clips. That way you can get the tool square under the pins before you pry them. Try and get a nylon tool so you don't scratch the door. If you don't have a nylon version, put some tape on the backside.

In this form go to the sticky:technical info, then select door panels , in there select the link to Pontiac hi-po, there it will explain the removal of door panel also if you have a panel with no cracks it would be a good time to do this repair because the panel will crack over time it is easy and worth doing to both panels....
