i have a few probs
hey im chris and im new im building a 1996 LT1 camaro i guess you can say its fully built. i have edelbrock heads, fully forged eagle crank rods and SRP inverted pistions comp cam i think its a 200 210yes i know its a low cam. i have a damper ported intake man, msd wires and dis, scorpion roller rockers comp lifters and push rods. and its bored 30 over. Ok now my questions 1st how much power will i make with all of that? my second the speed shop told me to call this one guy to see what kind of injectors i will need but after talking to him and telling him everything iv done he says ill only make 330rwhp??? wtf iv spent over 7 grand and he says i need a bigger cam to make more power ok i understand that but i still should be making more then that right?? and yes later on my tranny and rear end will be done but hes saying with everything i have i can use stock injetors and i dont need a stall? tell me if you think this guys on crack or im really missing somthing here. i might get a way bigger cam now. well tell me what you think and thanks for your help

yeah that cam is super tiny. Its smaller than the LT4 hot cam. Also u should consider 1.6:1 ratio rocker arms.

Well.. bigger isnt always better... but you want all your parts to match... cam/stall/heads/intake/etc... I know the stock injectors with an NA car can perform well for quite a while.. but not sure to what point.. and no, you don't NEED a different stall.. but if you want to get the full performance out of your engine, you will want one to match the power.

Well.. the LT1 has shown to put down between 280-290 stock to the wheels in several f-bodies I've seen... with what you have done, (assuming it is all done right) should get to a lot closer to 400 (I think 500 is over the limit though) than that guy said... but the cam and stall are going to be your limiting components (depending on what you actually have)

Honestly, I think that is the same size or smaller then stock. So your basically building a stock engine with heads. So 330 rwhp is close to accurate. Exactly what cam is it?

im not 100% on what the cam is its like the biggest cam you can get without a stall b/c at that time i wasnt going to build it to the level it is now its like a 200 210 i think but forgot the rest but i have H beam rods and everything is rated for 750hp to 1250hp i do want to do a 200 shot but i do also want a nice fast N/A also. if a cam is going to make such a difference whats a nice big cam then that comp makes i know my engine is very strong and can handle a lot more.

Honestly don't even worry about the stall yet. Build the engine, drive it and see if you like the converter you have. If not you can make a judgement on how much more stall you want/need.
This site shows some nice LT1 cam specs

The LT4 hot cam is right around the sweet spot for a nice horsepower daily driver. I'd really like to see you get 1.6 rockers also to get that extra lift and use those head's flow capabilities.
96 LT1 STOCK
205 207
.447 .459 lift 1.5 rocker
.477 .490 lift 1.6 rocker
LT4 Hot cam
218 226
.492 .492 lift 1.5 rocker
.525 .525 lift 1.6 rocker
