    i hate automatic headlights

i hate the automatic headlights that turn on when it gets dark. aside from leaving the parking brake up in the first notch, is there any way to get rid of the auto headlights?

so just a "short piece of wire" or is there a specific resistor that should be used?

pull out your radio, and the drl module and you can see the photoresistor in your defrost vent. twist out the resistor and unclip it. put in a 10k ohm resistor and your good to go

To get rid of both the drl and the autolights just cut the pink wire on the smaller connector to the drl-module.

I wired a switch between so I can still choose.

i used a small piece of wire in the light senor to only deactivate the auto head lights. i cant remember what gauge it is (this was about 6 years ago), but it was pretty thin, and that was it. its been so long i almost forgot the car came it automatic headlights.

I measured the resistance in daylight. And to keep mine off, I used a 10k ohm resistor.

You can disable to headlights without a resistor. Just unplug the photosensor and put a wire in to connect both sides of the harness. Works just fine.
