i am very confused
the other day my car just quit on me. I it was very rough when i tried starting it and it smelled like raw fuel. I was thinking that it would be a fuel regulator but someone told me that these cars dont have a fuel pressure regulator. I am very confused the car sounds like its drowning in fuel and would like to get an idea of what it could be. I would appreciate any thoughts on why my car is doing whats doing , thank you.

just my input
if it seems like it is drowining..
ur timing may be retarded not giveing it enough spark to burn all the fuel in chamber, causeing it to exit the exhast valve with raw fuel going to your exhast then having the smell...but the timing is computer controlled so i would have it hooked up to a dianostics program and check it out...
just my .01 cent worth

I had the same thing, you have to rev the car to keep it running? i would say its a vallve train issue, i had 3 broken springs and it read multiple cylinder missfire, i was running extremely rich, and had a tapping noise from my head.
