    how much for my ls1?

    Hey guys, well my engines finally knocking so im getting ready to get an ls6. One of the guys at the shop is interested in my old motor, but I have no idea what to price it for. Whats a good price for an ls1 thats knocking? I dont know what the knocking is exactly only that its in the bottom, so piston etc... Thanks in advance guys.
    LS6 Engine swap, Custom Predator Tune, Lid, SLP Cold Air, Ram Air H.O. Hood, Hooker Long Tubes, !Cats, 3" True Duals w/Dynomax Bullets, Performabuilt stage 2 w/3600 stall, B&M Trans. Cooler, Moser 12 Bolt w/ 3.73's

    Demon Speed LS1's go on ebay everyday for around 1700 dollars or more... if the guy wants it hes prolly gonna rebuild it to sell. I wouldn't let him have it for less then 450-500.

    a bare block can go for 300$ if your selling him the complete heads and everything id want atleast 1500

    why not keep it invest in a motor stand and tear it down yourself build it back up if you havent done this before get a book and learn on it.. My own personal veiws of course..You can probably get more money out it parting it out on e bay though

    I would do what scotthd said but when u finish the rebuild put it into like a 3rd gen Camaro or something along those lines, so u can have a LS6 and a Ls1 Iroc or whatever.

    Id love to keep it but the money from the sale is going towards paying off the ls6.
