how to make a FREE MANUAL FAN SWITCH
PARTS NEEDED
20' of 10 guage wire
a couple crimps
toggle switch
metel connection insert for fuse box
well this is pretty easy to do. i did this on my winter car first soo here it is.
1 go to your fuse/breaker cover and lace the cool fan together with 10guage wire. ( i used THHN)
2. run wire to blower then back to a ground ( i used the engine block)
3. then run wires threw fire wall and use a toggle switch
i made mine by spare parts but if you didnt have i guess that it would only cost about $8-$10 all and all you save about 60 dollarsLast edited by greatwhiteZ28; 09-14-2007 at 04:25 PM.

great write up!...but do you think getting it tuned so the fans will turn on once the key is turned is better?

If you want your fans to always run all you have to do is break the coolant temp sending unit.

but i personally like the manual switch better bc in between races you can turn them on while the car is off makinng it very cool and ready to go.
the reason why i did this was bc my winter car was always runnig soo hot and the fans wouldt kick in till the red. and with 262000 miles im just being safe.
